Replacement pods are the consumable part of any pod kit. The pod holds your e-liquid, contains the coil (sealed or replaceable depending on the design), and connects to the battery via magnetic or push-fit contacts. Replacing pods on schedule is the single biggest factor in pod-kit performance — push past their lifespan and flavour fades, coils burn, and your device feels like it's failing when it isn't. Take 3–4 gentle dry pulls before the first proper puff. This single habit prevents most burnt-taste complaints on day one of a new pod.

Pods aren't universal. A Caliburn G3 pod doesn't fit an Xlim Pro; a Drag Q pod doesn't fit a Hayati Pro Mini. Even within a family, generations differ — Caliburn G2 pods may not fit Caliburn G3 devices. Always check the exact device name and generation before buying. Can I clean and reuse a worn pod? For sealed-coil pods, no — the cotton inside the coil can't dry properly after rinsing. For replaceable-coil pods, rinse the pod chamber, dry on a tissue for 15–20 minutes, fit a fresh coil, prime, and continue. Saves money long-term.

Why is my new pod tasting burnt already? Almost always one of three things: skipped priming, ran tank dry briefly, or wrong e-liquid type (high-VG shortfill in a pod kit). Address whichever applies. New pods rarely fail spontaneously when used correctly.

How much should pods cost? UK genuine 3-packs typically run £8–£12 (£2.50–£4 per pod). Anything dramatically cheaper from unknown sellers is likely counterfeit — performs poorly and may damage your device.

Can I overfill a pod? No. Fill only to the marked max line — overfilling floods the airflow channel, causes gurgling, leaks, and spitback. Leave 2–3mm of air gap at the top for pressure equalisation.
