How to Store E-Liquid Properly: 6 Things That Actually Matter
The MHRA requires all UK e-liquid bottles to carry a best-before date, and for good reason. E-liquid doesn't last indefinitely — nicotine oxidises, flavour compounds degrade, and the VG and PG can separate if stored badly. 1. Keep It Away from Light
Ultraviolet light accelerates the degradation of nicotine and flavour compounds in e-liquid. Dark cupboards, drawers, or even a simple cardboard box are better storage locations than any surface that receives direct or strong indirect light.
2. Temperature Matters — Keep It Cool
Heat speeds up the chemical reactions that cause nicotine to oxidise and flavours to break down. Don't leave e-liquid in a hot car, near a radiator, or in a kitchen cupboard above the oven.
